How to check if an iPhone is Carrier Locked?
In the previous article, we clarified the concept of an iPhone lock. To determine if your device is locked, follow these steps:
- First, go to Settings
- Next, select General
- Then choose About
- Look for Carrier Lock or Network Lock in the information section.
- If it shows No SIM restrictions, your device is an international iPhone.
- Conversely, if it displays SIM Locked, your iPhone is carrier-locked.
However, there are many fake "Locked" iPhones on the market that impersonate international iPhones. These devices may not be easily checked through the "Settings." Here's how to tell the difference:
- First, you must have a SIM card from any local carrier that is currently in use.
- Insert that SIM card into the iPhone.
- If the screen shows [Active] and prompts you to activate, with the signal indicator only appearing after activation, it's likely your iPhone is a carrier locked version.
- If the signal appears without any activation prompt, it could be an international iPhone.
