How to use an eSIM and still keep my Original Number (Physical SIM)?
The answer is very simple, you just need to have a device that supports Dual SIM, and eSIM technology.
For example, since 2018, Apple iPhone devices from Xr and above can use one eSIM and one Physical SIM at the same time. Therefore, you can keep your original number, and set up an additional eSIM for your trip.
This does not apply to Apple devices that are manufactured in certain countries, since they can only use 2 physical SIMs, and are not capable of setting up an additional eSIM.
Please keep in mind that when you are abroad internationally, the roaming charges on casual calls and texts might be higher depending on your service provider.
